While many people were concerned that they would be driving in mountainous terrain, we were able to assure them that the roads were wide and straight, easing their way high into the Canadian Rockies. The scenery is spectacular. Your pre arranged accommodations are in some of Canada's most famous hotels. Day 1 - Calgary to Banff
Welcome to Calgary. The Budget rental office is right at the airport. Keep your luggage cart and walk over to collect your car. Your destination is either the historic Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel or the Buffalo Mountain Lodge. The area is rich in the history of the "Springs" and the story of how Banff has developed from a railroad stop, to one of the best known resorts in the world.

Day 2 - Banff at Leisure
Be sure and you see Bow Falls, the Cave and Basin, Tunnel Mountain and if you wish; take a gondola ride up the side of Sulphur Mountain. You can take a soak in the naturally-heated Upper Hot Springs, or just take a leisurely cruise on Lake Minnewanka.

Day 3 - Banff to Jasper
Enroute to Jasper, you travel along the Icefields Parkway, named one of the most scenic highways in North America. The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has been named one of the ten best resorts in the world. The Sawridge Inn is centrally located in the town of Jasper, close to shops, restaurants and the rail station.

Day 4 - Jasper at Leisure
You have the entire day to enjoy all that Jasper has to offer! You can take a bike ride, swim, hike, golf and even go horseback riding. Consider a visit to Mt. Edith Cavell, secluded Maligne Lake or rafting on the Athabasca River.

Day 5 - Jasper to Lake Louise
Your reluctance to leave Jasper will pass, as you travel south through some of the most beautiful vistas found anyplace on the globe. A stop at the awesome Athabasca Glacier for an Ice Explorer ride on this prehistoric river of endless ice is highly recommended. Your destination is the beautiful Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise or the Deer Lodge, rustic by intent.

Day 6 - Lake Louise at Leisure
The breathtaking aura of the Rockies is yours to revel in today. The Lake Louise ski area offers rides on their chair lifts that take you to lofty heights for spectacular views. Visit the Valley of the Ten Peaks to view lovely Moraine Lake and be sure to leave time to enjoy the serenity of the turquoise waters of Lake Louise.

Day 7 - Lake Louise/Home
